If you are plant based and live in the Detroit area there is no way you haven't at least heard of
Greenspace Cafe. Opened by
Dr. Joel Kahn and his son Daniel, Greenspace is a completely vegan restaurant in Ferndale. The beauty of Greenspace is that it's not your 'typical' (or the typical idea of what) a vegan restaurant looks like. It's a beautiful, modern space, that offers an upscale dining experience (and cocktails!) to the plant based and plant curious community.
If you've not yet been to Greenspace, I'd highly recommend visiting. It's a great place for a special occasion (I had my birthday there this year, and took my mom for Mother's Day), or a casual sunday brunch with friends.
To ring in their second birthday, Greenspace hosted a 7 course dinner, with live music by the
Sean Blackman Quartet and drink pairings. Luckily I grabbed tickets before it sold out, and was able to partake in the celebration! I wanted to share some snaps of the fabulous food for those who couldn't make it, and perhaps inspire you to plan your own visit!
