During our stay at Rancho Pescadero this past March my favorite mixologist (on the whole planet, really) and good friend, Danny Sanchez, created this amazing drink. I loved it so much, I asked him if I could share the wealth. Generously he agreed to send me the recipe! Thanks Danny!

The best part about this drink is that it's full of amazing nutrients! Just let the course of your day dictate whether or not you add the tequila.

Despertarse Elixir (courtesy of Danny Sanchez)

4 oz fresh pressed carrot juice
4 oz fresh squeezed orange juice
1/2 oz fresh lime juice
1 1/2  slices of fresh pineapple
1/2 tsp fresh grated ginger
2 oz. of your favorite silver tequila or vodka (optional)

Place all ingredients into a blender with a 1/4 scoop of ice, blend until the ice is completely crushed.
